Floating off the Stress

Ever heard of floating your stress away?

Yeah, it’s a thing!

Floatation therapy is this cool wellness trend where you float in a saltwater tank and just… let go.

It’s supposed to make you super relaxed and even help you sleep better.

So, when I found myself in Bangkok again, I decided to check out the Bangkok Float Center for the second time.

First was back in 2018, and now in 2024, they’ve got a new spot but still promise that zen vibe.

Bangkok Float Center

Finding the Spot

They’ve moved, but it wasn’t hard to find their new location nestled inside a hotel.

Address: Hope Land Hotel (2nd Floor), 46/1 Sukhumvit Rd, Phrakanong (opposit W District), Phrakanong BTS station (Exit 4) ONLY 3 minutes walk Klong Toei, Bangkok 10110

Phone: +66 98-628-9599 (ENGLISH), +66 93-159-9998 (Thai or English)

Email: [email protected]

Just a stone’s throw from Phrakanong BTS Station, getting there was a breeze.

Walking in, the vibe was immediately calming, with a clean and cozy reception area.

If you’re new to this whole floating thing, don’t sweat it—the staff are super chill and explain all you need to know.

Booking and Bucks

Got online and booked a slot from the website without a hitch.

They’ve got their prices and deals up on their site (worth checking out for the latest rates).

I found the price totally fair for the zen you get. Plus, you can hit them up by email or call if you’ve got questions.

You can also book via Klook.

The Setup

Inside, each float tank’s got its own room, complete with a shower for max privacy.

They keep the place spotless, and you get towels, soap, and shampoo. Pretty sweet setup.

The Float Vibe

Jumped in the pod after a quick rinse. I booked an hour-long session, with some extra time added for showering and getting ready.

My second float was a whole different vibe from my first.

The first time, curiosity got the better of me, but the second time, I just went with the flow, literally.

I even dozed off!

Tip: If you’re not comfortable and need more air, keep the pod door open. It’s all good, as long as you’re comfy.

You’ll lose track of time somehow but don’t worry.

Once your time is up, you’ll hear a music. After that, the pod will drain/reset itself.

Feeling the Benefits

Post-float, I felt mega relaxed, like my brain had hit the reset button.

It’s not just me—there’s plenty of chat about the benefits of floating, from nailing that zen mode to sleeping like a baby at night.

Wrapping It Up

All in all, Bangkok Float Center is a must-try in my book.

Whether you’re a stressed-out soul, or just curious, it’s worth diving in.

Pro Tips for Future Floaters

Book ahead and go in with an open mind.

Floating’s all about finding your chill, so do what feels right for you.

Floating at the Bangkok Float Center wasn’t just a dip in saltwater; it was a dive into deep relaxation.

Can’t wait for my next float!
